The Aeryon Scout™ small Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) features an integrated end-to-end surveying and GIS (Geographical Information System) solution, including the immediate and reliable collection of high quality aerial imagery, and a variety of image processing options for everyday users or GIS specialists to produce high resolution 2D orthomosaics and maps, 3D and digital elevation models, and GIS datasets.
For many applications, gathering aerial imagery using the Aeryon Scout is faster, more accurate, and more cost effective than satellites, manned aircraft or ground-based measurements. See the sample projects included below.
Aeryon Scout sUAS
The Aeryon Scout sUAS is the professional tool of choice to reliably and repeatedly complete critical projects for military, public safety, and commercial users. The Aeryon Scout combines class-leading flight capabilities and features with an easy-to-use interface and automated failsafes - no pilot experience required.

As a Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aerial vehicle, the Scout can operate lower and slower than manned aircraft, and fly in confined environments where fixed-wing UAVs cannot operate safely. The result of this capability is incredibly detailed imagery, up to 1cm/px resolution, required for precise modeling and measurement.
The Scout’s AutoGrid™ functionality creates an automated grid waypoint flight path based on survey parameters. Unlike some other small UAS platforms, this grid can be flown automatically but can also be paused and resumed, edited or aborted, dynamically during flight.
The Scout system also features automated failsafes, and provides the ability to easily change its automated landing location, should the operating environment change at any time.

Sample Project 3: Vineyard
This project involved imaging multiple vineyards. This is a high resolution orthomosaic of a single 7.5 acre vineyard, generated from 90 images from the Scout taken in 8 minutes, with a ground resolution of 1.6cm/px resolution. Other products produced included Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) used for irrigation planning.
