Alaska National Guard conducts Joint Arctic SAREX
BETHEL, Alaska - The Alaska National Guard conducted a joint search-and-rescue exercise earlier this month to test the recovery operations for a simulated 737 plane crash. The search-and-rescue exercise was an opportunity for the Alaska National Guard to explore ways small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS), such as the Aeryon Scout™, can integrate with different organizations. During the search-and-rescue exercise, Scout™ provided various types of data, such as high resolution maps, and real-time exploration with an infrared payload, allowing search and rescue teams to search for survivors from the air.
